A Museum Like No Other

About the Clark County Museum

History isn’t just something to look at—it’s something to step into. From vintage homes to hands-on exhibits, we celebrate the people, places, and moments that made Southern Nevada what it is today.

Cost to visit the museum? FREE

That's right. Museum admission is free for all to enjoy.

"Las Vegas rebrands itself now and then but does not necessarily change a lot about itself."

Why the Clark County Museum?

Because no place tells the story of Southern Nevada quite like this.

The Clark County Museum offers a one-of-a-kind journey through the region’s past—far beyond the bright lights of the Strip. From prehistoric Mojave Desert life to the boom of the railroad, the rise of Henderson and Boulder City, and the explosive growth of midcentury Las Vegas, our exhibits connect visitors to the real people and places that built this community.

The heart of the museum is Heritage Street, a lovingly restored collection of historic homes and storefronts that recreate daily life across the decades. Step inside a 1912 railroad cottage, browse a 1950s beauty shop, or hear the echo of slot machines in a relocated casino. It’s immersive, authentic, and unlike anything else in the state.

Museum Operating Hours

The Clark County Museum is open every day from 9:00 AM until 4:30 PM.

The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
